The house, designed by an architect, features a spacious yard (British: garden) with shady and sunny areas. There are mature trees, flowering shrubbery, and plenty of space for kids to play.

The southern edge of the yard is bordered by a ditch with a dense growth of tall reeds during the summer. In winter you have an unobstructed view of the flower bulb fields.
