The Zandvogel is located in the small village of Egmond aan den Hoef, on a quiet road that winds through the flower bulb fields of west-central North Holland. In the distance to the east you can see outline of the historical city of Alkmaar, and to the west you find the dunes, with the North Sea right behind them.
